Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Balances is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every visitor to be able to learn about our product, understand our pricing, and get in touch with us — regardless of how they browse the web. This statement covers our website, www.balances.ai.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive differences.
What we've done
Steps we've taken to make this site more accessible include:
- Semantic page structure with landmarks (navigation, main, footer) and headings that follow the page's outline.
- A “Skip to main content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Keyboard operability for interactive elements, with a visible focus outline on buttons and controls.
- Accessible names on buttons, links, and image content.
- Colour contrast that targets the WCAG AA ratio for text, in both light and dark themes.
- Support for the operating-system “reduced motion” preference: page animations are reduced and the homepage demo video does not play automatically.
- Layouts that reflow on small screens and when text is enlarged, without sideways scrolling.
How we test
We check pages with automated accessibility testing (axe) on desktop and mobile sizes, in both light and dark themes, and by navigating with the keyboard alone. Automated tools catch only part of what matters, so we also rely on feedback from the people who use the site.
Known limitations
- We have not yet completed testing with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS, or with Windows high-contrast mode.
- Product screenshots on this site are images. Their alternative text describes what each one shows, but not every detail in it.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We test new features as we build them and review the site regularly. Some areas may not yet be fully optimised, and we are actively working to improve them.
Feedback
If you encounter any barrier on this site, or need information in a different format, please let us know. Email hello@balances.ai with “Accessibility” in the subject line. Please include the page address and a description of the problem. We aim to reply within two business days, and we can provide the information you need in another format while we work on a fix.
