Bank feeds & reconciliation
Your accounts, connected.
Every statement reconciled.
Connect your bank and cards through Plaid, or bring in a CSV, PDF or photo of a statement. Approve the categories Balances suggests, pair your transfers, and reconcile to the statement balance, on a real double-entry ledger.
14-day free trial. Pro is $20/month per business.
Bank feeds
Connect in a click, or import any statement
“Connect your bank” opens your bank’s own sign-in through Plaid and brings in up to two years of history. Statements come in too: CSV exports from your bank, with the columns suggested for you to confirm, PDF statements checked against their own opening and closing balances, and photos of paper statements.
Plaid feeds with up to two years of history
CSV formats detected for you, with month-first or day-first dates
PDF statements, and photos of paper statements up to 15 pages
Every import asks “Does this look right?” before anything is written

Categorization
Approve the categories instead of typing them
Balances suggests a category for each new transaction and says why, and leaves it blank for you when nothing points to one. Pin a vendor to a category and its future charges arrive with that category suggested, ready for you to approve. Transfers between your own accounts are matched on amount, date and the account’s last four digits, and a card payment waits in Money in Transit until the other side arrives.
Suggestions with their reason, approved in Review
Vendor rules for merchants you always book the same way
Transfers paired between accounts, including across currencies
Stripe card sales recorded as gross revenue plus the processing fee
Reconciliation
Reconcile to the statement, the way accountants do
Enter the statement balance, check off transactions, and watch the difference settle to zero. Finish activates when it does. If it won’t balance, “Review difference” shows you ways to close the gap. The Reconciliation tab shows when each account was last reconciled.
A live difference as you check items off
“Reconcile with Sam” walks you through it with your statement
Accounts that haven’t been reconciled in 45 days are flagged
Balance reconciliation for loans and investment accounts
Also included
Imports you can check first
Before writing anything, an import shows which dates your bank already sent, so you avoid bringing them in twice.
Reversible exclusions
“Exclude import” takes an import’s untouched lines out of your balance and reports, and “Include” brings them back.
Lock your books
Set a lock date in Settings → Books. Moving it records who moved it and why.
Multi-currency
On the Global plan: accounts in any currency, with realized FX gain or loss on transfers.
Feeds that keep up
When a card is reissued or an account number changes, you can keep the new account on the same feed and history.
Search and notes
Find a transaction by amount or last four digits, and add your own notes beside the bank memo.
Loan and investment statements
Upload one and Balances proposes matches against the payments you already booked. You confirm each one.
Questions
Which banks connect?
Bank and card accounts connect through Plaid. If yours doesn’t, import a CSV export, a PDF statement, or a photo of a paper statement instead.
How much history comes in?
Plaid connections bring in up to two years of history. You can import older statements as well.
Cash or accrual?
Both. Balances is double-entry underneath, and reports like Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow can show either basis.
Can I reconcile accounts that aren’t bank accounts?
Yes. Loans and investment accounts reconcile to their statement balance as well.
